The poll saw more than a million votes pour in from countries including the UK, USA, Australia, China, France, India and South Africa.

“Californian supermodel Marisa Miller has the kind of sun-kissed sex appeal that wows men all over the world,” the Sun quoted FHM UK Editor Colin Kennedy as saying.

“With a strong showing in more than 20 territories, she gathered more votes across our entire network than anyone else.”"That makes Marisa officially the sexiest woman on the planet,” Kennedy added.

Fifteen years into her career, in November last year, the sultry siren had the honour of modelling this $ 3 million diamond-encrusted bra for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, held in New York.

Miller began her modelling career at the tender age of 16, when agents discovered her at a San Francisco cafe. And since then, there’s been no looking back — magazine covers, calendars, lingerie, she’s gone the whole hog.

She is an avid surfer, which is probably one of the chief secrets behind that athletic, super-toned bod!

Another unusual hobby she’s taken up is bike-riding, ever since she signed up with motorcycle giant Harley Davidson. A hot lady on a smokin’ machine — now that’s style!

Despite her tough tomboy image, though, when Miller puts on her (Victoria’s Secret Angel) wings, she’s as feminine as they come and has been with the brand for nearly a decade.

The hazel-eyed lovely’s suprisingly down-to-earth about her status as a supermodel, though. When she was voted to the Number One spot of Maxim Magazine’s ‘Hot 100′ list, she was famously quoted as saying, “I get a kick out of it, but it would be stupid to let it go to my head. It’s modelling — I didn’t find the cure for cancer.”

Besides pursuing her glamorous profession, she also finds time for philanthropy — last year, she became an ambassador for the American Cancer Society and her website also donates to charity.
