The 2010 Kerala election results will be declared on Wednesday noon. According to the recent reports, the Congress-led UDF lead in several regions.
The counting of votes in the local body elections
is started is 13 of the 14 districts in Kerala. The Results of 13 of the 59 municipalities has been declared until now. Whereas LDF won in 4 municipalities, UDF has claimed Thrissur City Corporation and 9 municipalities.
Out of the 38 panchayats, UDF and LDF have gained control of 18 village panchayats each. Out of 152 block panchayats, results of 5 have been declared until now. UDF secured 3 block panchayats, the LDF won 2.
According to the reports, the voting percentages for the 2nd phase polls in the 7 districts are as follows:-Alappuzha – 77.7%; Kottayam 75.64%; Idukki 75%; Ernakulam-73 %; Thrissur 73%; Palakkad 75%; and Malappuram 75.6%.
The elections covered 98 Gram Panchayats; 152 Block Panchayats; 14 District Panchayats; 59 Muncipalities and 5 Corporations. In Kozhikode district the election results will be announced only on 31st October.
