On Friday, at the barest margin, Chris Gayle was missed a century as he was dismissed for 99 by Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Jofra Archer.  The way Gayle got out made him even angrier and he threw his bat in anger. However, it was a rush of blood and his anger soon subside and when he returned for the pavilion he shook hands with Archer. Gayle becoming the first-ever batsman to smash 1,000 sixes in the shortest format of the game. he created history, While he failed to reach the three-figure mark. Speaking on the mid-innings program, Gayle said it was unfortunate to lose a hundred but added that these things are part of cricket.

In the same over he was out, he made a total of 99 by hit a six on Archer’s previous delivery. England’s fast bowler made a strong comeback and delivered a full-length in-swing that sent the West Indies into the room. The ball hit his pads and crashed into the stumps, exposing Gayle’s angry reaction.

Then he added ” To be honest, it’s all about the mental aspect of my game and that’s what keeps me going. I’m enjoying the cricket the same way. I’d love to have the IPL trophy under my belt, but still a long way to go,”. 

When asked about his record of 1000 sixes, Gayle said he was unaware of the milestone but said he was still hitting the ball well.

The hard work and dedication over the years have paid off. To the guys who I promised to get a century, I missed out today but in my mind, it’s a century,”.

Despite Gayle‚Äôs prowess, the KXIP bowlers failed to defend 185 runs, with dew making things hard for them. they dominated the KXIP bowlers word for word as we know The Rajasthan Royals players who needed to win all the remaining games to make their chance for the top half finish came out with the intention.
